A man is in jail after reportedly assaulting a Metro police officer.
According to an affidavit, Terrence Armstrong, 25, was arguing with another person on Sunday when officers attempted to separate them.
When the two did not obey officers, Armstrong was told he was under arrest. That is when he began to struggle with police. He refused to stay on the ground or put his hands behind his back, police reported.
By the time the scuffle was over, Armstrong was on top of one of the officers.
In all, it took four officers to apprehend Armstrong.
He was charged with assaulting an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
There was no word on the injuries sustained by the officer.
