The Vanderbilt Commodores defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 59-54 Wednesday. The Commodores ended the Bulldogs' eight-game home winning streak in the five point win.
Rod Odom led the Commodores with 16 points, including a 3-pointer with 3:23 to play to put them up eight over the Bulldogs. Vanderbilt (11-8, 3-4 SEC) then made 15 free throws down the stretch to hold off a Georgia (10-9, 4-3) comeback.
Dai-Jon Parker had 15 points for the Commodores, followed by Kyle Fuller who added 13.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Charles Mann with 20 points. Georgia shot 27 percent from the field and made just four 3-point shots.
