The Tennessee Volunteers defeated Ole Miss 86-70 Wednesday, wasting no time in rebounding from their 26 point loss to Florida.
Jordan McRae led the Vols with 26 points in the contest and went 6 of 7 from 3-point range.
Ole Miss (14-6, 5-2 SEC) brought the game to within five in the second half, but Tennessee (13-7, 4-3) never gave up the lead and held on for the 16 point win.
Jeronne Maymon and Josh Richardson scored 16 points for the Vols, followed by Jarnell Stokes with 13. Freshman Darius Thompson had seven points and seven assists in his third career start.
Marshall Henderson led the Rebels with 26 points, despite being hurt and held scoreless for the first 13 minutes of the game. Ole Miss was on a four-game winning streak before the loss to Tennessee.
