County singer Trace Adkins left a rehabilitation center where he is receiving treatment for a short time Saturday to purchase a new guitar as part of his therapy.
According to TMZ, Adkins was escorted by rehab employees to a music store in Lake Worth, Florida where he purchased a used Martin guitar for $1,100.
Adkins is using music and songwriting as part of his treatment.
The 52-year-old checked into rehab earlier this month following an alleged altercation with a Trace Adkins impersonator on a cruise ship.
“Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism. As he faces these issues head on, we ask that his family's privacy will be respected,” Trace Adkins' rep previously said in a release.
Adkins had been sober for 12 years prior to the alleged fight on board the cruise ship.
