Blue Raiders crack AP Top 25

For the first time since 2009, Middle Tennessee State University's women's basketball team entered the AP Top 25 poll.

The Blue Raiders have won their last 16 straight games and took the 25th spot in Monday's poll.

The ranking comes after an exciting week for the Blue Raiders.

Senior Ebony Rowe broke MTSU's 27-year-old program scoring record to help the team clinch their 16th consecutive win Saturday night. The Blue Raiders' winning streak is tied for fourth in the country.

Middle Tennessee last appeared in the AP Top 25 on November 16, 2009 and were ranked 24. Monday's ranking is the 22nd time in school history that the Blue Raiders appeared in the AP poll.

MTSU's game at Southern Miss on January 29 has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather. The Blue Raiders next game will be on the road against Tulso on February 1.
