Consistency may be the mark of a champion, but apparently the PAT is a little too consistent for the NFL.
Commissioner Roger Goodell is suggesting the league change the extra point because it is too automatic.
Goodell points out PAT's had a success rate of nearly 100% this season and few teams attempt a two-point conversion until the game is virtually over.
One consideration is awarding seven points for touchdowns and giving the teams an option to go for two. Failure to convert would cost the team a point.
