A Murfreesboro City Schools employee was arrested this week for abusing her 13-year-old son.
The boy's aunt called police Sunday after Melissa McGill dropped him off at her house stating the boy had “an attitude problem.”
According to an affidavit, the boy's face was red and he told responding officers that his mother got mad and punched him in the face.
McGill, 37, a cafeteria worker for Murfreesboro City Schools, was arrested Monday.
She was charged with child abuse and neglect and booked into the Rutherford County jail on $2,500 bond.
