The Metro Police Department will be accepting school crossing guard applications for the current and upcoming school year at a job fair on Thursday.
Metro employs almost 200 public school crossing guards throughout Davidson County.
Interested applicants must be 18 or older, have a valid government-issued ID and social security card, reliable transportation as well as be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Starting pay is $9.79 per hour with benefits including uniforms, equipment, holiday pay and an end of the school year bonus recognizing dedication.
The fair will be held from 9 a.m. until Noon in the Green Hills Room of the Metro Southeast complex located at 1417 Murfreesboro Pike.
