Authorities seized four pounds of a highly addictive drug called “molly” that was on its way to the streets of Nashville.
The seizure occurred after police arrested 33-year-old Daniel Taylor at a motel on Bell Road after he reportedly purchased the drugs for $3,000.
He could have made approximately $50,000 through its sale to users in Middle Tennessee.
Taylor is expected to be prosecuted federally.
According to police, “molly” is known to contain the chemical methylone and is similar to the designer drug ecstasy.
The Drug Enforcement Administration issued an emergency ban on methylone in October 2011.
