Bitter cold has impact on La Vergne’s water supply

The bitter cold temperatures that moved through Middle Tennessee earlier this week is having a big impact on the city of La Vergne's water supply.

Typically the city's water storage tanks are around 80% full. Currently one tank is as low at 35%.

Residents have been asked to stop running their water constantly in an effort to avoid frozen pipes since temperatures have risen.
