A four game point streak came to an end for the Predators Sunday with a 2-1 loss at Carolina.

The win gave the Hurricanes their season-high fourth straight win.

Carolina found the score sheet first at 4:28 in the first period. Alexander Semin flipped the loose puck off the back of Predator goaltender Carton Hutton and in for the score.

It wasn't until the third period that either team scored again. The Predators struck on the power play with a goal off the skate of Patric Horqvist to tie things a 1-1.

The Hurricanes answered back with the go-ahead goal from Jeff Skinner with 3:31 left in the game.

The Predators return to action Tuesday night at home against the San Jose Sharks.
