The Tennessee Volunteers cruised to a 87-52 win over the Virginia Cavaliers Monday night.
Jordan McRae led the Volunteers' effort with 21 points while Josh Richardson and Jarnell Stokes each accounted for 20 points in the victory.
Antonio Barton's 3-pointer with 4:36 left in the first half gave Tennessee the 39-15 lead, passing their total points scored in the last meeting between the two teams.
In that match up last season, the Volunteers were held to just 38 points, falling 46-38 to the Cavaliers.
Barton's buzzer-beating half-court shot gave Tennessee a 48-26 lead heading into halftime.
The Vols kept a lead of at least 18 in the remaining half to record the largest margin win of the Cuonzo Martin era.
