ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) – Two people from northeastern Kentucky have been arrested after they appeared on a reality television show that focuses on people addicted to drugs.

Kentucky State Police arrested 26-year-old Courtney J. Howard of Grayson and charged her with possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a minor and theft by unlawful taking.

Troopers also charged 33-year-old David Robert Nickell with trafficking in a controlled substance on December 20.

Troopers say the pair appeared on an episode of True Life: I'm Addicted to Pills, which aired on December 9 on MTV.

The following day, the Carter County Attorney's Office notified troopers about possible legal violations by the pair.

Howard and Nickell were being held in the Carter County Jail.

Jail records did not list an attorney for either.
