It is another slow start for the Tennessee Volunteers. The Vols fell to 6-4 with a 65-58 loss to North Carolina State Wednesday night in Knoxville.
The Wolfpack took control from the beginning and led by 17 at the half. Tennessee made a push in the second half pulling within five, but could get no closer.
Tennessee just did not shoot the ball well enough, they hit just 29% from the field and 12% from three-point range. Jordan McRae led Tennessee with 21 and Jeronne Maymon had 17 points and 16 rebounds.
It was the Vols first home loss of the season and it was N.C. State's first road win.
