Commodores hold off Governors in final seconds

The Vanderbilt Commodores hung on in the final seconds Tuesday night to defeat Austin Peay 58-56.

After a slow first half that saw just 20 Vanderbilt points, the Dores put 38 on the board in the second half to edge out the Governors.

Damian Jones led the Commodores with 12 points in the contest with Rod Odom just behind at 11 points.

Chris Horton led the Governors with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

The Commodores improve to 6-3 and return to the court Saturday against Georgia Tech.
