Lebanon police arrested two men, including the son of Watertown's mayor, on Friday after officers found chemicals and materials used to manufacture methamphetamines inside their car.

According to The Lebanon Democrat, the incident began with a traffic stop at the Burger King on North Cumberland Street for a registration violation around 5 p.m.

Police reported that during the stop, the officer found a coffee filter with a white substance inside it.

A second officer was called to the scene to test the substance, which tested positive for meth.

Danny Vick, 42, of Lebanon, and Brandon Jennings, 27, of Watertown, which is located just southeast of Lebanon, were both arrested after a search revealed ingredients and materials to make meth using a one-pot method were found.

Officers reported they also found crack cocaine during the search.

Vick was charged with possession of schedule II drugs packaged for resale, possession and manufacture and drugs with intent for resale, tampering with evidence, and a criminal probation violation.

He remains in the Wilson County jail on $15,500 bond.

Jennings, who is the son Watertown's mayor, was charged with possession of schedule II drugs packaged for resale, two counts of possession and manufacture of drugs with intent for resale, simply possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He remains in the Wilson County jail on $25,500 bond.

Two other passengers inside the car at the time were not charged.

It took agents with the Meth Task Force around four hours to clear the scene and properly dispose of the chemicals.
