NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Mike Munchak says his Tennessee Titans aren't quitters despite their losing record.
The coach said Monday that the Titans rallying from 17 points down to force overtime is proof of their character, and there's no quit in them. But he says they need to play smarter in their final two games.
The Titans' 37-37 overtime loss to Arizona eliminated their thin postseason hopes. It also was their third straight loss and eighth in 10 games, clinching a second straight losing record.
New president and CEO Tommy Smith plans to evaluate everyone from Munchak on down after the season. Now the Titans have a chance for a little payback Sunday in Jacksonville before the season finale against Houston.
Munchak says winning would give him a stronger argument to return as the Titans' coach.
