Multiple sources say Alabama head coach Nick Saban signed an extension Friday to stay with the Crimson Tide.
Saban has recently been rumored as a potential replacement for Mack Brown at Texas. The Tide coach has repeatedly denied an interest in the vacancy.
Saban is already the highest paid college football coach making $5.62 million per year at the University of Alabama.
The exact details of the new deals are still unknown. Saban has spent seven seasons and winning three national championships with the Crimson Tide.
Saban's new contract comes on the heels of many other SEC coaching extensions.
Gus Malzahn agreed to a six-year extension at Auburn that will pay $3.25 million in the first year with a $250,000 raise each following year.
Ole Miss' Hugh Freeze received an extension and raise that will bring his salary to $3 million per year.
