‘Most Wanted’ fugitive captured in Murfreesboro

'Most Wanted' fugitive captured in Murfreesboro (Image 1)

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation early Friday morning captured another fugitive from its Top 10 “Most Wanted” list.

Deterines Cathey, of Columbia, was arrested at an apartment complex in Murfreesboro.
 
Cathey was wanted by the Columbia Police Department for assaulting a man with a handgun at a home on East 9th Street on October 19.

Additionally, the TBI said Cathey threatened a witness via text who was present during the altercation.

Cathey is being held at the Rutherford County jail pending transport to Maury County.

He faces charges of aggravated assault, felony possession of a firearm, coercion of a witness and possession of a weapon during a violent felony.
