NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Predators captain Shea Weber will not return after getting hurt late in the second period against the Edmonton Oilers with what the team is calling an upper body injury.

Weber dropped to the ice at 15:24 of the second Thursday night after apparently taking a puck to the face. The defenseman got up and skated immediately to the locker room.

He came into the game tied with Erik Karlsson of Ottawa, Torey Krug of Boston and Michael Stone of Phoenix for most goals among defensemen with seven, and Weber is the only defenseman leading his team in goals scored.
