AURORA, Ky. (AP) – A western Kentucky man has been charged with manslaughter after a fatal two-car collision.
WPSD-TV in Paducah reported that Jeffrey Nelson of Murray was driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes of Highway 80 near Aurora on Wednesday when he struck a car driven by Megan McCoy.
Police say McCoy had been making a left turn onto Highway 68 when the collision happened Wednesday.
McCoy was struck on the driver side, and pronounced dead on the scene.
Nelson is also charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Nelson is held in Marshall County Detention Center.
Jail records did not list an attorney.
