The Vanderbilt Commodores blew a 16
point second half losing to Providence 67-60 in
the first round of the Paradise Jam in the Virgin
Islands.

The Dores led 56-40 and gave up 17
points in a row. They did grab the lead back with a three point field goal,
but the Friars outscored them 10-1 the rest of the
way.

Rod Odom led the Commodores with 17
points. Eric McLellan chipped in 13 for
Vanderbilt.

The Commodores left plenty of points
at the free throw line, they went just 5 of 12 from the charity stripe.

The
Dores also did not take care of the basetball turning it over 17
times.
