Metro police are working to locate a 28-year-old man responsible for breaking into multiple vehicles at area parks, practice fields and greenways.
Police said Carlos Johnson is accused of breaking into five vehicles between May 24 and November 11.
In each incident police said a window was broken out in order to gain access to purses and other valuables left behind.
Johnson is being sought on outstanding warrants for multiple counts of auto burglary, theft of property, fraudulent use of a credit card, forgery and identity theft. He also has previous convictions for forgery and fraudulent use of a credit card.
Police added Johnson is a suspect in additional vehicle break-ins.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
