A Putnam County man was arrested after he allegedly struck two people with a baseball bat to rob them Sunday night.
Robert Moodispaugh Sr., 54, of Cookeville, is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of vandalism for the incident that occurred at the Freehill Trailer Park.
According to the Herald Citizen, officers responded to an assault call and found a woman whose face was bleeding and a man who was trying to calm her down.
The victims reported to police they had been struck in the head with a baseball by Moodispaugh.
They explained the male victim owed Moodispaugh $10, and upon meeting to pay him back, Moodispaugh witnessed more money in the victim's pocket and proceeded to strike both of them in the head with a baseball bat before robbing them.
He allegedly stole a total of $90 before fleeing to a nearby trailer, where police stated they found him hiding in a bathroom.
The male victim suffered a concussion and the female had a fractured sinus cavity.
Moodispaugh is being held at the Putnam County jail on $25,000 bond.
