A house fire turned fatal for a woman in Ashland city Saturday morning.

According to the Ashland City Times, Dorothy Ann Williams, 69, died from the injuries she sustained in the house fire located in the 1000 block of Hill Road.

When firefighters arrived just after 2:30 a.m., the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Officials said crews tried to get inside the home, but couldn't due to the intensity of the flames.
