Two men were arrested after stealing two vehicles, attempting to steal an ATM and running from police late Friday night.

The suspects then drove the stolen pickup truck to Suntrust Bank in the 2500 block of McGavock Pike where they attempted to steal an ATM machine. They were unable to get the machine out of the building and took off.
Metro police responded to a call of the attempted robbery at that location just minutes later. They were told a blue truck pulling a trailer was seen trying to steal the ATM.
The rig that the suspects used to try and steal the ATM left an obvious line in the roadway, which helped police track the suspects.
Officers spotted the described vehicle and followed them to Keith Street in south Nashville where officers attempted a traffic stop. The suspects rammed the police car and then fled.
The suspects then rammed a second police car just a few miles away on Spence Lane at Cave Road. Officers pursued the suspects onto Briley Parkway.
During the pursuit, officers deployed spike strips on Briley Parkway at Murfreesboro Road.
The suspects began driving on the wrong side of the roadway, forcing officers to back off. The suspects eventually bailed from the vehicle and fled on foot.
One suspect was apprehended on Averitt Drive and the other fell down a hill before being apprehended on Drummond Drive.
Two police vehicles were damaged in the pursuit and two officers received minor injuries. The suspect that fell down a hill was transported to General Hospital at Meharry for treatment. He was then transported to jail.
