The brother of a teen accused of shooting and killing a man during an armed robbery in August has escaped custody of the Department of Children Services.

Paul Sales, 17, who police say has a violent past, ran away from the Natchez Trace Youth Academy in Waverly last month.

Authorities say he is the brother of Veretez McGill.  McGill, 15, was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder for the August 11 fatal shooting of Darrell Wright at the Church and Son Market in north Nashville.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Sales for a felony probation violation.

Anyone with information on Sales' whereabouts is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
