A Robertson County deputy is out of the job Thursday after an internal investigation revealed he had violated numerous office policies.

The investigation against Corporal Roger Gott began on October 16 as a result of his alleged involvement in a physical altercation with his ex-wife.

He was arrested for domestic violence.

Gott was immediately decommissioned following his arrest and was placed on administrative leave pending the results of an internal investigation.

“These matters are taken very seriously by the Robertson County Sheriff's Office. Once we learned of the arrest, we took immediate action and began an internal investigation,” Sheriff Bill Holt said.

Gott had worked with the sheriff's office since 2003.
