Kings beat Predators 2-1 in shootout

The Nashville Predators scored first, but the Los Angeles Kings scored last skating out of Nashville Thursday night with a 2-1 shootout win.

Anzi Kopitar scored the game winner in the shootout for the Kings after Nashville failed to score on all three opportunities.

Predators forward Matt Cullen scored the first goal of his Nashville career in the first period to put the Predators up 1-0.  Craig Smith and Gabrielle Bourque each earned assists.

The Predators are at Montreal Saturday.
