A couple in east Tennessee is facing multiple charges after they allegedly sold their children to take part in sex films.
Our sister station WATE-TV reported Connie McCall, 40, and her husband Ronnie McCall, 61, of Johnson City, reportedly sold their four daughters.
The girls were between the ages of five and 16 at the time. Prosecutors in the case said both parents were also on strung out on bath salts.
Investigators believe the children were taken to multiple locations and forced to perform sexual acts.
Their home was found to be in very unsanitary conditions.
“Just filth and extremely deplorable,” said Investigator Debbie Dunn with the Johnson City Police Department.
Authorities said the six-year-old daughter had lice and flea bites all over body, along with ring worm and severe dental problems.
“The amount of tooth decay, you can imagine, was extremely painful. She had black teeth, and holes in all the teeth, just really inexcusable,” Investigator Dunn said.
WATE reports the case was picked up by the United States Attorney’s Office after investigators discovered the McCalls had also taken their daughters across state lines to South Carolina to make porn.
“When you have parents allegedly making money off their kids through pornography and exploitation, even after 20 years, it’s one of the worst cases I’ve ever seen,” said 1st Judicial District Attorney General Tony Clark.
Both Connie and Ronnie McCall have been arrested. They each face at least 30 years in prison, if convicted.
Authorities say the four girls are doing well and in the custody of child protection services, who hope they will be adopted as a family.
