A woman was charged with attempted murder Sunday after police say she shoved a woman from a moving vehicle Saturday night.
Hendersonville police arrested Tina Shelton, 53, and William Groves, 69, who are both residents of Clearview Road in Cottontown.
According to police, Groves was driving down Vietnam Veterans Boulevard when witnesses say they saw a woman hanging from the vehicle then falling from it.
Witnesses also reported the vehicle stopped and the occupants tried to put the woman back into the car before fleeing.
The victim, identified as a 35-year-old family member of Shelton, was taken by Vanderbilt University Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Shelton was later charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder, one count of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and domestic assault. Her bond is set at $500,000.
Groves is charged with one count of accessory after the fact of attempted first-degre murder, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and reckless endangerment with a weapon. His bond has not been set.
They are due in court December 11 in Sumner County.
