A late 4th quarter interception halted Middle Tennessee's hopes for a comeback leading East Carolina to a 24-17 win at Floyd Stadium Saturday.
The Blue Raiders tied the game at 17 in the final seconds of the third quarter. ECU battled back, however, holding MTSU to just 18 total yards of offense in the 4th quarter.
With just over five minutes left in the game, win seemed within reach for the Blue Raiders when ECU's Warren Harvery missed a 52 yard field goal, keeping the pirates lead to just seven.

Quarterback Logan Kilgore's following pass was intercepted by ECU's Damon Magazu, allowing the Pirates to melt the clock for the final minutes of the game.
“It was a great football game. It breaks my heart that we didn't get the win, but I'm really proud of them,” said MTSU head coach Rick Stockstill. “We got a lot better this week and we need to keep getting better next week.”
The Blue Raiders head to Denton, Texas next week to take on North Texas. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
