Four adults and one dog were stranded on a boat early Sunday morning on Percy Priest Lake.

Officials said the engine would not start on the boat and water was seeping inside.

The passengers continued dumping the water out near Bryant's Cove before emergency crews arrived around 1 a.m.

Rutherford County sheriff's deputies and the Emergency Medical Services' Special Operations Response Team responded.

The SORT team successfully located the boat and rescued all on board.

SORT paramedics returned three victims to the shore after about an hour. Another boater pulled the boat and the fourth victim to shore.

No other information was released.
