The Tennessee Human Rights Commission celebrated its 50th birthday on Friday.
The organization celebrated fifty years of fighting for civil and human rights in the volunteer state.
Friday was a day the organization took to reflect on the development of human rights over the past 50 years, share how the Commission impacts our lives now, and to discuss the Commission's future.
News 2's Anne Holt was privileged to moderate a panel discussion about the road to equality in Tennessee during the celebration.
During the celebration, Fred Cloud, Inez Crutchfield and Yvonne Wood were among those honored.
