St. Louis Blues beat Preds 4-2 in season opener

David Backes had a goal and assist to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 4-2 win over the Preds in their season opener.

The Blues scored three times in the first 9:45 landing goalie Pekka Rinne on the bench.

Mike Fisher scored in the 1st period and David Legwand added a goal in the second but the Blues were able to add one more goal and hold on for the win.

The Predators next game is tomorrow night in Colorado against the Avalanche.
