CHILLICOTHE, Mo. (AP) – Authorities say a woman accused of abducting her grandson from Florida when he was a baby has moved him around several Missouri towns for more than a decade.

Sandy Hatte is to appear in court Wednesday in Chillicothe. The 60-year-old woman is jailed on a charge of felony child abduction.

Investigators say she abducted the boy in 2000.

They say a school official in northwest Missouri's Livingston County became suspicious earlier this month when the grandmother enrolled the now-teenage boy in school.

Authorities took custody of the grandson last week after arresting Hatte. He has been reunited with his father and returned to live with him in Alabama.

A sheriff's detective would not release the names of the boy and father.

Online records don't list a lawyer for Hatte.
