A Middle Tennessee mother was arrested on Tuesday for the neglect and abuse that contributed to the death of her young daughter earlier this year.
Samantha Brymer-Armstrong's three-year-old daughter Kayleigh was found in a swimming pool unresponsive on March 7 at the family's home on Old State Highway in Spencer, Tennessee, about 105 miles away from Nashville.
Kayleigh was taken to an area hospital where hospital staff was able to regain a pulse and labored breathing before she was transported to a Chattanooga hospital where she died.
Brymer-Armstrong told authorities she left her daughter unattended for over an hour while she played video games with headphones on inside a bedroom at their home.
She remains jailed on a $25,000 bond for neglect and abuse.
