A motorcyclist was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Nashville Thursday night after she was seen by police traveling at a high rate of speed on the interstate.
Officers clocked the female motorcyclist traveling at speeds as high as 94-miles-per-hour while conducting traffic enforcement on Interstate 40.
An officer attempted to catch up to the offender but lost sight of her.
As the officer exited the interstate at Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage, he came upon a crash involving the motorcyclist.
Officials said woman sideswiped an SUV and slid across the roadway while crossing the intersection in an effort to cross back onto the interstate.
The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital with critical, but non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities said she would be cited for speeding.
