The Rotary Club's 11th Annual Wings of Freedom Fish Fry in Smyrna exceeded expectations on Saturday with a massive turnout.
According to the Daily News Journal, more than 1,500 people attended the event, which raised over $75,000.
The donations will go to support the Boys and Girls Club, as well as other local groups.
“We're not the only group that helps these organizations. This is a very giving area, county-wide. It's a lot of good things going on for a lot of different groups and individuals,” said volunteer Mike Waller.
This year marked the biggest fish fry the organization has hosted.
