Metro police discovered human remains that may be linked to a Davidson County cold case.

Nashville authorities and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department found the remains, tentatively identified as Michael Parsley, buried in a shallow grave in rural Wayne County Friday morning.

Parsley was reported missing by his daughter on April 20, 2009.

Police said they believe the 53-year-old man was killed in west Nashville a few days before he was reported missing.

Authorities are continuing to pursue strong and active leads in the case.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
