Nashville police say a man was drunk when he walked through freshly poured cement, leaving his footprints behind.
Robert Montgomery was arrested Thursday after he was caught walking on the wet concrete along Demonbreun Street.
According to an arrest affidavit, Montgomery, 54, lifted and went underneath the caution tape and walked across the cement.
Officers reported Montgomery had bloodshot and watery eyes and smelled of alcohol. He was also unsteady on his feet.
Because of the treatment, the concrete could not be re-smoothed. It will have to be completely removed and re-poured, police said.
Montgomery was arrested on charges of public intoxication and vandalism. His bond was set at $15,000.
