Metro police are working to identify the man who pepper sprayed a pizza employee during a robbery attempt Monday night.
Police reported the suspect entered the Little Caesars Pizza located in the 3300 block of Gallatin Pike just after 9 p.m. and ordered two pizzas, paying in cash.
As the cash register opened, the man pepper sprayed the employee in the face in an effort to grab money.
The worker was able to slam the drawer shut. The suspect fled the scene empty-handed.
The suspect is described as a white make in his late teens or early 20s. He has brown curly hair with long bangs. He also has a dark mark or scar on the left side of his bottom lip.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with “Class of 2011” written on the front.
