Symphony reaches tentative deal with Nashville Musicians Association

The Nashville Symphony and Nashville Musicians Association has reached a tentative deal on a new labor contract.

The deal is reportedly headed to the musicians for a final vote, the Nashville Business Journal reported.

The symphony's collective bargaining agreement with the union expired on July 3. The two sides had been negotiating since June.

Friday's proposed labor agreement comes nearly two months after the symphony reached a deal with lenders over more than $80 million owed to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

The symphony's first performance is scheduled for September 5.
