A Middle Tennessee woman was jailed late last week after she allegedly told her son she would place him in state custody if he did not lie about an altercation.
According to a report on the Lawrenceburg Now, 33-year-old April Haddock was arrested at her home on Friday night for filing a false police report.
Authorities were initially called to the home to investigate an alleged domestic assault.
Upon their arrival deputies learned Haddock allegedly told her 10-year-old son, who is mentally handicapped, to report his father had struck her in the face several times.
When questioned, Haddock admitted she had forced her son to lie.
Haddock is scheduled to appear in court on September 17.
