A Web site known for their insights into travelling the United States and beyond has included one of Nashville's parks in their list of the country's best hikes.

Fodor's Travel compiled their the 7 Best Hikes in the U.S. that trek “through some of the country's most beautiful landscapes”, and the Mossy Ridge Trail in Percy Warner Park makes the grade.

The trail is a four mile loop with a few steep hills within that classify it as a moderate hike for families or those who want to get some exercise.

The tree surrounding the trail offer a good bit of shade, and Fodor's notes that they “can reveal dogwoods in full bloom in the spring, boldly colored fall foliage, glimpses of natural springs and lush grassy meadows”.

Percy Warner Park is also ample in size with picnic tables throughout, and playgrounds for children.

The Mossy Ridge Trail can be accessed from the entrance off of Highway 100. Visit Nashville.gov to view trail maps.

Trails in Texas, Utah, California, Hawaii, Colorado and Vermont also made the list.
