Two people from Kentucky were killed in a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 24 in Robertson County Friday afternoon.
The crash was reported around 5 p.m. along I-24 west at mile marker 22.
Darius Diehl, 21, was driving a Ford Explorer when, for unknwon reasons, travelled off the roadway, striking several trees in the median.
The SUV eventually came to rest on the passenger's side.
Both Diehl and his passenger, 22-year-old Amber Trumble, were killed.
The casue of the accident remains undetermined.
A medical examiner found that drugs or alcohol were not in use at the time of the crash.
Diehl was not wearing a seatbelt.
