An 18-month-old boy from Linden, Tennessee has returned home after undergoing a lifesaving liver transplant in Ohio in late April.
Levi Smith suffered from Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disease that affects around 1 in 20,000 babies prior to undergoing the operation.
Baby Levi was added to the donor list last December after doctors at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt determined he needed a transplant following two previous operations.
Levi, who recently learned to walk, continues to see his doctors in Ohio on a regular basis.
