Highway 109 in Gallatin has reopened early Tuesday evening following multiple accidents.

Gallatin police initially closed the roadway at the Cumberland River Bridge while crews worked to clear the scene.
 
Motorists said traffic in the northbound lane was back up to LaGuardo.

The roadway reopened around 5:30 p.m.

It was not immediately clear if any injuries were reported in the accidents.

No additional information was released.
