Four suspects remain at large after a La Vergne home invasion early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred around 12 a.m. at the Cedar Ridge Apartments on Madison Drive.

La Vergne police told Nashville's News 2 that a woman was outside her apartment when an unidentified man threatened her with a gun and forced his way into her home.

The woman was held at gunpoint while three others ransacked her apartment for approximately 30 minutes.

“The men asked for specific items, they took the items and threatened her as they were leaving that if she contacted police they would return,” said Det. Kevin Stolinsky.

Her three small children were asleep in the apartment at the time.

“They didn't touch the kids; no harm was done to the children. I believe they were just as scared as mom was in that situation,” said Det. Stolinsky.

After the suspects fled, the victim was able to see which direction they took off in and tell police.

Officers went door-to-door in the neighborhood searching for the suspects and found stolen items inside a nearby apartment.

One person was arrested and is currently being held on unrelated charges.

The stolen items were returned to the victim.

The mother and children were not hurt during the invasion.

Police are searching for four black males who range in age from 16 to 28-years-old.

Anyone with information is urged to contact La Vergne police at 615-793-7744.
