A tip led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man wanted for stealing a pickup truck, trailer and four-wheeler from two west Nashville homes.
According to police, a citizen spotted William Buttrey driving the stolen pickup truck, which was pulling a trailer and four-wheeler, on 49th Avenue North, near Idaho Avenue before alerting officers.
Buttrey was stopped by officers a short time later on 46th Avenue North at Charlotte Avenue.
During their investigation, police determined the truck had been stolen from a home in the 4600 block of Idaho Avenue and that the trailer and four-wheeler had been taken from a residence in the 4800 block of Idaho Avenue.
At the time of his arrest, Buttrey was free on a $15,000 bond for two thefts that occurred in May.
He is now charged with three counts of felony theft and possession of burglary tools.
Buttrey, who has previous convictions for felony theft, felony drug possession, auto burglary and aggravated assault, is being held in lieu of a $56,000 bond.
